A Newcomb College graduate, Alice Wright been involved in the New Orleans community since her days at Louise S. McGehee School. She is a former president of the Junior League of New Orleans, and former board chair of Kingsley House (now Clover), Cafe Reconcile, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) New Orleans. Her professional life was spent in fund development. She served as the Development Director of Trinity Episcopal School, and after retirement consulted with Tulane University Law School, The Louisiana Children’s Museum, GoodWork Network and others. Following Katrina, she served as the Disaster Relief Coordinator for Trinity Episcopal Church where she established the Loaves and Fishes ministry. She has received the Sustainer of the Year Award from the Junior League, the Outstanding Fundraiser Award from AFP New Orleans, The Beverley Warner Award from Kingsley House, the YMCA Role Model Award, and Outstanding Alumna of McGehee School.
Alice is married to William E. Wright, has two children and two grandchildren.
