On any given night, over 580,000 individuals are suffering from homelessness in the United States. Many of these individuals lack the necessities to meet their basic needs. Grace at the Green Light is here to help provide for those basic needs–food, water, clothing, and community. Join us in helping those in our local community.
We serve breakfast 7 days a week 365 days a year. Volunteers can help serve breakfast from 6:15 AM – 7:45 AM any day of the year. Breakfast is served at St. Jude Community Center (400 N. Rampart Street). Sign up and get your volunteer t-shirt in advance!
We hand out water every day and can always use help. We hand out water every afternoon under the 110 – If you put together a group we can do this around your time schedule! Anytime between 11am and 1pm. This is particularly important in the heat of the summer.
Have your group go out and panhandle – in volunteer shirts, with signage about our programs! The money goes right to helping our participants – This requires a group and scheduling in advance.
Put together some bags to hand out, or for us to hand out for you – things we take for granted that street homeless don’t have. Hygienic items like toothbrushes and toothpaste, staples like socks, tshirts.
Volunteer with Grace at the Green Light aids our community in helping break down the barriers between our housed and unhoused community. We all deserve grace and that is what we provide on a daily basis–with the help of our volunteers.
