COVID-19 UpdatE

Since mid-March when the COVID-19 Pandemic hit New Orleans, Louisiana, we have expanded our programs and services to aid the homeless even more.  Many other resources for the homeless have either closed completely or had to drastically limit services because of the pandemic.  We felt that we were in a position to aid the homeless even more and have been stepping up to the plate to do so.  We have expanded to feeding breakfast and lunch daily, 7 days a week.  On March 30th, we combined with two other organizations (Lantern Light and St. Jude Community Center) to feed 3 meals a day, 7 days a week, and offer health checks at one central location downtown (the Rebuild Center).  We are feeding 6 times the number of individuals we normally serve on a daily basis.  As of April 6, 2020, we have served over 5,500 meals in just a few short weeks since this pandemic began.

We will continue to meet the basic needs of the homeless community and greatly appreciate the continued support of our Grace at the Green Light community.
